In ten years as a product manager for Logitech, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a number of awesome people. As we enter our second week of the Logitech Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Challenge in the U.S., I thought I’d share some inside information about the development of the Driving Force GT. I certainly don't want the same issues with the newest logitech wheels. on The Making of the Logitech Driving Force GT. Still.when I start R3E and Logitech profiler, my steering goes to <180 degrees of rotation. I have my R3E settings to 540 and/or 900 depending on the car. I have logitech profiler set to 900 degrees of rotation in every field that I could change.

I don't understand why this software does this. In this scenario, the only way to fix it is to restart my computer. Sometimes, R3E will open and Logitech Profiler will open but when I try to close logitech profiler, there is nothing on the taskbar, nothing in Task Manager (no processes, no application) to close.īut Logitech profiler is still open because my steering is now suddenly < 180 degrees of rotation. I right click on the task bar, close logitech profiler program. Because it makes R3E cars undriveable, I turn off the logitech profiler. When R3E starts, usually the logitech profiler will open with the game. It's almost impossible to get through a chicane without almost or actually spinning if you're not used to the steering. Literally, I turn my wheel just a an inch (2.5 cm) and it gets me around a hairpin curve. The steering getting stuck at <180 degrees of rotation. The issue that causes the most heartache is. DiRT Rally, Driveclub and Project CARS have all confirmed compatibility. I LOVE THE SHIFT BUTTONS but they are worn and I get double downshifts or upshifts. For Logitech Steering Wheel G25 / G27 / G29 Universal Pedal Modification kit. button on the wheel is stuck in down position. Power randomly turning on and off (ffb.then no ffb.) Pedals cable keeps falling out - disconnecting my pedals. Using Logitech profiler, R3E cars are not driveable.

Randomly disconnects "Device not recognized" and reconnects If you want to get more serious about it, there is Project Cars 1/2, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, RaceRoom, rFactor 2, Automobilista and other specialized sims. After 2 years of use, I am having issues with my DFGT too.

There are also F1 2010-2019 for your F1 needs, but they're not exactly casual.

What about other racing games on the PS4 What about GT7 on the PS4 I just saw the Looks like Logitech G27, G25, & DFGT NOT likely to be supported on PS4 Thread but it is now at 52 pages. If you wanna give track racing a go, maybe try Forza Motorsport 7, or GRID, or NFS Shift Unleashed. I know that the Logitech Driving Force GT will NOT work with Project Cars. Wreckfest is fun for demolition derby, as you know. Dirt 3/4 and Gravel are fun for casual rally racing.

FUEL also has free roam I believe and is set in a post apocalyptic setting, but I'm not sure it benefits much from the use of a steering wheel.

Older titles like Test Drive Unlimited 1(with the Platinum mod) and TDU 2 are really fun. although I vaguely recall that Project CARS 2 did a similar thing back in the. Options like a Thrustmaster T300 (RS)/TMX (Pro)/T150, Logitech G920/29 probably won't fit your budget, but maybe you can find a Logitech G27/25, or even a trusty old Logitech Driving Force GT for cheap.Īs for games, you'll find free roam in something like Forza Horizon 3/4, The Crew 1/2, Need for Speed 2015 and Payback, maybe GTA V, but that's about it for newer releases. The Classic Steering Wheel Stand has enough adjustment to cover almost any. Nothing worse than getting a banged up wheel.

I'd buy a used one that's in good condition, although it can be a gamble. Also, look for the ones that have clamps as a mounting mechanism, the ones with suction cups don't usually stay in place. I'd look for one with >270 degrees of rotation. The ones that have "vibrations" are nowhere near as good or "realistic" feeling as the force feedback ones. I'd personally stay away from cheap wheels.
